]]> Students to take aptitude test for admission to schools of specialized excellence in Delhi The Directorate of Education last week announced the schedule for the aptitude test for admission in Class XI in Schools of Specialized Excellence for the academic session 2023-2024 for the subjects STEM, Humanities and Armed Forces Preparation Schools (AFPS)
The Schools of Specialized Excellence are affiliated to Delhi Board of School Education.

According to the circular, the aptitude test for AFPS, Humanities, STEM (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and STEM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) has been scheduled from 20 July to 23 July.
The circular stated, “Detailed guidelines regarding examination centres, roll numbers etc. are available online. Eligible candidates can download admit cards online from 17 July, 5 pm.”

The Delhi government had introduced the Schools of Specialized Excellence as choice-based schools for Classes 9 to 12 that allow students to specialize in their chosen fields of study. There are five domains in which SoSEs have been established, i.e. science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), humanities, high-end 21st-century skills, performing and visual arts, and armed forces preparatory school.
