Days after her return from abroad, Bollywood princess Jacqueline Fernandez made an appearance before a Delhi court on Wednesday in connection with the high- profile Rs 200 crore plutocrat- laundering and highway robbery case, involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar as the high indicted.
The actress appeared before Special Judge Shailendra Malik of Patiala House Courts as the court began hearing charges levelled against Fernandez.
According to the Times Of India, the 37- time-old was summoned after Delhi’s Patiala House Court directed the Enforcement Directorate( ED) to collect and file the Forensic Science Laboratory report in a plutocrat- laundering case on Saturday.
before in May, the court allowed the actress to travel abroad from May 25 tomid-June for her work commitments.
The operation filed by Fernandez showed that the actress wanted authorization to travel to Abu Dhabi for International Indian Film Academy Awards and Milan for a movie shoot till June 12.
Last time in November, the court granted bail to the’ Vikrant Rona’ star in the case on a particular bond of Rs 50,000 and one surety of like quantum.
As part of the alternate supplementary chargesheet submitted in August 2022, the ED named Fernandez- who has been interrogated several times in connection with the disquisition- as an indicted. Official sources claim that Chandrashekhar spent around Rs 20 crore on different Bollywood celebrities. still, a many had refused to accept gifts from him.
before, the ED set Fernandez’s means and fixed deposits worth Rs7.2 crore, which the central agency said were gifts and parcels as’ proceeds’ of crime entered by the actress.
Fernandez and Bollywood actress- cotillion Nora Fatehi recorded their statements as substantiations in the case.
In February, the ED filed its first supplementary charge distance against Pinky Irani, an alleged assistant of Chandrashekhar, who introduced him to Bollywood actors.
It had been contended in the charge distance that Pinky used to choose precious gifts for Jacqueline and drop them at her hearthstone after Chandrashekhar made the payments. In December 2021, the inquiry agency filed the first charge distance in this matter.
