NASA gets 3 electric vans to shuttle Artemis crew to launchpad.

NASA got some new crew transports history a small line of three each- electric, “ especially designed ” vans designed by EV incipiency Canoo that will shuttle the completely suited-up Artemis crew, support labor force, and outfit to the helipad at the JohnF. Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

NASA will also use the new line for astronaut training exercises ahead of coming time’s planned Artemis II charge — a kind of test run that ’ll zip astronauts around the Moon and back.

It would be the first crewed charge out of low Earth route since 1972. still, Artemis III’ll follow with a 2025 launch, aiming to put a crew on the Moon’s face, If all goes well.


Canoo was reportedly having issues with its backing last time but seems to have been saved by some crucial contracts. latterly in the time, Walmart tossed the company a lifeline when it ordered 4,500 delivery vehicles. Also last time, it delivered a modified interpretation of its prototype volley truck to the US Army called the Light Tactical Vehicle.

NASA says its creative platoon, which included the Artemis launch director and representatives from the Houston- grounded Johnson Space Center’s Astronaut Office, had input on the vans ’ innards and surface markings and colors.
