The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the choice-filling process for the Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2023 on its official website, mcc.nic.in. Aspiring candidates who have registered for NEET UG 2023 Round 1 counselling can now begin the process of filling and locking their choices for MBBS and BDS courses and other undergraduate medical programs. The choice-filling and locking process began on July 22, 2023, and will continue until July 26, 2023
Important Dates for NEET UG Counselling 2023 Round 1:
NEET UG Registration and Payment: July 20 to July 25, 2023 (until 12 noon).
NEET UG Choice-Filling and Locking: July 22 to July 26, 2023.
Processing of Seat Allotment: July 27 to July 28, 2023.
NEET UG Seat Allotment Result: July 29, 2023.
Uploading of Documents by Candidates on the Portal: July 30, 2023.
Reporting to the Allotted Institute: July 31 to August 4, 2023.

Candidates can fill as many choices as they wish, but it is crucial to prioritize their preferences. There will be a common software for filling up choices for All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, central universities, BSc nursing, AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, and BHU.

The NEET UG 2023 counselling will consist of four rounds for AIQ seats this year, namely AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. After the completion of each round’s registration, candidates will have to select and confirm their preferred colleges from the available options. The verification of candidates and the seat allotment process will be carried out accordingly.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow the schedule and complete the choice-filling process within the specified time frame. The reporting to the allotted institutes will take place between July 31 and August 4, 2023 .
