In Noida, pastoral areas as well as upmarket societies face mass of overflowing swash. While Delhi may see some relief starting Friday, Noida will have to stay a little longer.
The unknown rise in Yamuna water position has now brought the civic and pastoral areas of Noida to a deadlock. As the swash at the Okhla shower crossed the peril position of200.60 m, thousands of people had to take sanctum on the road — their homes, granges and things submerged in the water.
“ It feels like we will noway have a endless home in the megacity. We’re the first victims of the flood tide, but the last devisee of the swash, ” said Dharmendra Singh( 45), who works in a nursery and whose family members were trapped on Pushta road, Nangla- Nangli vill in Noida Sector- 134.

Till late Thursday evening, around 40 people were trapped in the water and deliverance operations were underway. But it isn’t just the shacks that were affected. Water entered the reopened colonies in Sector- 137, sector- 141 and sector- 142. The road near the Paras Tierea Society and Advant erecting on the Greater Noida Expressway was doused .
District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma appointed nodal officers to give relief material to affected families living in endless harbors.
“ Four harbors were erected in Noida Sector 134, 135, 136 to shift the affected families to endless accommodation due to the increased water position of Yamuna swash. Around 1,500 people, including 150 who were saved, are staying then, ” said Nodal officer and fresh District Magistrate( Finance and profit) Atul Kumar.
“ People can also get help in case of general flood tide disaster by reaching the control room number 01202974274, ” said the nodal officer.
