UP govt notifies phase 3 expansion of Noida’s Jewar Airport soon.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath- led Uttar Pradesh government on 6 July issued a announcement to carry out the’ social impact assessment’ ( SIA) for accession of another 2,053 hectares of land for the third phthe use expansion of the forthcoming Noida International Airport( NIA) in Jewar.

According to the CEO of Noida International Airport Limited( NIAL), Arun Vir Singh, a aggregate of 1,888 hectares of land from 14 townlets in Jewar tehsil of Gautam Buddh Nagar is to be acquired, and the SIA is listed to be carried out by Gautam Buddha University and completed by this August 30.

” The announcement for the accession of 2,053 hectares of land for the third phase expansion of the field was issued last week. Land for the first phase( 1,365 hectares) and the alternate phase( 1,334 hectares) has formerly been acquired,” said Singh.

” As per the development plan of the field, three runways would be developed in the third phase of the design, in addition to three runways that would be erected during the first and the alternate phases of construction,” he added.

As per the details, the first phase of construction work for the field is underway and is listed to be completed for marketable operations by September 2024.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited( YIAPAL) is developing the public-private Greenfield Airport, some 75 km out Delhi.

Following the concurrence from the land possessors under vittles of the Right to Fair Compensation and translucency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement( Uttar Pradesh) Rules, 2016, the land for the third phase will be acquired.

The townlets which will be impacted by the accession are Thora, Neemka Shahjahanpur, Khwajapur, Ramner, Kishorpur, Banwaribans, Parohi, Mukimpur Shiwara, Jewar Bangar, Sabauta Mustafabad, Ahmadpur Chauroli, Dayanatpur, Bankapur, and Rohi,– totaling 1,888.90 hectares of the total 2,053 hectares to be acquired, the announcement said.

” There will be structural development of the artificial structure, employment openings will increase and manufacturing and exports will be encouraged. The expansion of the field will grease air business along with rapid-fire tourism growth,” stated the announcement.

The Noida International Airport( NIA) is being developed in four phases and is billed to be the largest in India upon completion. It’ll be spread over an area of around 5,000 hectares, with multiple runways along with two terminal structures and an periodic passenger capacity of1.2 crore.

The field will also have installations for weight and MRO( conservation, form, and overhaul) services, according to officers.

The NIA would be the public capital region’s third field for marketable operations after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport( IGIA) and Ghaziabad’s Hindon air base.
